Crew Clothing Plans for Brick-and-Mortar Expansion

The clothing brand has revealed planes to open as many as 40 new stores over the next three years, focusing on market towns and coastal resorts.

The retailer has posted positive results that showed recovery post-pandemic, with a 15 per cent increase in both online and in-store sales respectively in the seven weeks to 8 January.

Chief Executive of the British fashion retailer, David Butler said in a recent interview: “We have to react to customer behaviour and there is plenty of evidence to suggest that people are shopping in stores again. Our footfall is back to pre-pandemic levels.”

Further details about the new stores and future plans will be revealed in the future as plans are solidified by the retailer.

As well as positive in-store results for the brand, e-commerce sales have also sky-rocketed by 15 per cent to 8 January due to an increased demand for partywear for Christmas parties that made a return. At the time of this, Butler said: “Despite the challenging sector backdrop, Crew Clothing’s omnichannel model and our agile, customer-focused strategy has meant that we have witnessed an overwhelmingly positive Christmas trading period.”
