The brand has recently opened a new boutique at SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The new boutique spans an area of 3,003sq ft on the ground floor of the mall. SouthPark is a large shopping centre where a number of other brands from fashion’s upper echelon have already set up locations.
The store features an intricate design, with the setting infused with light and dark hues of oak and walnut captured by floors, walls and displays. The design echoes the signature elements central to the Alexander McQueen brand and name.
A number of traditional techniques have been utilised to uphold the brand’s values of quality craftsmanship, this is juxtaposed with visionary design and innovation, and the latter is distinctly expressed by way of ‘cotton-crete’, a cotton-based papier-mache cladding. The fitting rooms within the store are cylindrical, reflecting light, and lined with specially designed fabric.
The Charlotte store stocks the brand’s women’s and men’s apparel as well as accessories, shoes and jewellery collections.
