The game-changing destination has welcomed more than five million visitors and over 20 new shops, eateries and leisure venue openings, since the Grade II* listed building opened its doors to the public for the first time in history on 14 October 2022.
New openings include Jigsaw, Under Armour, ME +EM, Kiehl’s, Hackett, IWC, Swatch, Reformation, Pinko, Bimba Y Lola, Theory, The North Face, Just Over The Top (JOTT), Penhaligon’s, The Cinema in the Power Station, David Clulow, Oseyo, Leon, itsu, M&S Food Hall and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Bar.
Smaller, independent retailers inside the Power Station have also been extremely popular with visitors since the opening. Neighbourhood bookstore, the Battersea Bookshop, has been a hit with families with over 6,509 children’s books flying off the shelves since October. Curated Makers, which sells homeware, candles, clothing and artwork from over 40 local independent small businesses, will be adding more London-based ‘Makers’ to its roster due to its popularity amongst visitors including vegan-friendly soaps from ‘The Naked Herb Soaps’, hand painted watercolour artworks by Ana Gallego, including one of the newly restored Power Station, and jewellery from Kam Creates.
Since opening in November 2022, Battersea Power Station’s chimney lift experience, Lift 109, has transported visitors to the top of the Grade II* listed building’s northwest chimney to soak up the beautiful 360-degree views approximately 7,029 times, which is the equivalent of 18 marathons.
