The coffee franchise, known for its premium Hawaiian coffees and themed cafes, is looking to open 150 new locations during the next five years.
The brand will make its debut in South Carolina via the signing of a three-store agreement for locations in the greater Myrtle Beach marker area. Currently under site selection, the first store is projected to open late this year or in early 2024.
The Myrtle Beach development news contributes to the brand’s overall growth goal of opening 150 new locations during the next five years. It currently has more than 25 stores.
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii closed out a record 2022, awarding 45 franchise agreements while opening eight new stores. The company said it continues to achieve high-performance marks with a 76 per cent average unit volume increase compared to that of pre-COVID, 2019.
“We’re very proud of the milestones that we achieved in 2022 and the positive impact that they have had on our franchisees’ business,” stated Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, in a January release. “Our continued and aggressive push to build a best-in-class national coffee franchise opportunity with a strong infrastructure, technology & innovation, and a craveable menu has Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii poised for even bigger strides in 2023.”
