Shiseido Beauty Planet, a state-of-the-art facility aimed at offering more comprehensive customer experiences and factory tours, opens its doors to the public on 10 May.
Located within the premises of Shiseido’s Fukuoka Kurume factory, Shiseido Beauty Planet will become “a hub for increasing users” of the Japanese beauty company, which owns prestige brands such as Baum, Clé de Peau Beauté, and Drunk Elephant, to name a few, and beauty licenses for Issey Miyake, Nars, Narciso Rodriguez, and Tory Burch.
The factory tour offers an array of attractions such as interactive manufacturing experiences and a tour of the site that develops some of Shiseido’s most advanced IoT, or Internet of Things, technologies. Tours will be held thrice a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with slots in the morning and afternoon.
The Fukuoka Kurume factory began full-scale operations in May 2022 as the manufacturing site for Shiseido’s mid-priced skincare and suncare products, including Elixir and Anessa. The factory now also leads global production for Shiseido’s Skin Beauty business.
