Real estate company Central Pattana will open a flagship store for Nitori, a Japanese furniture and home furnishings giant, at CentralWorld in August.
Nitori, which will cover more than 2,600sq m of retail space on the mall’s fifth level, plans a second branch at Central Westgate during the fourth quarter of this year. In addition to Thailand, the company also revealed plans to grow in The Philippines earlier this year and was also apparently looking at the potential in other countries including Vietnam and South Korea.
Last year, Nitori opened its first stores in Beijing as part of a long-planned push to grow its presence in China. The Japanese giant concentrated mostly on major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
