Luxury Danish brand Ganni has opened its first-ever store in Australia, opting for the nation’s largest city, Sydney, to make its market debut.
Located inside The Galeries shopping precinct, on Sydney’s George Street, the new Ganni Australia flagship store is designed to create a “welcoming homely vibe,” riffing on the family home of Ganni founders, husband-and-wife duo Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup. The Copenhagen-based brand added it wanted to bring the feeling of Copenhagen to Australia.
Inside, interior pieces include an eclectic mix of retro vases, vintage furniture and a selection of art by all female talents. As with all Ganni stores, there is a large focus on sustainability; from the recycled plastic waste podiums and the interior trays made from pressed old fabrics, to upcycled Artek stools made from repurposed Ganni fabrics.
“Sydney is such a vibrant and diverse city and we’re honoured to now be a part of it with our first flagship store. I have always felt a special connection to our Australian community and I am so humbled by their loyalty. We are super excited to bring a little bit of Copenhagen to Sydney,” said Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, Ganni.
