The prospect of the Olympic Games in Paris next summer is invigorating major sports brands, who are moving to the capital or inaugurating new points of sale to take advantage of the frenzy this event stirs up.
The organisers of the Olympic Games are also in position after launching a first official store at the end of 2022 at the Forum des Halles in Paris. Meanwhile, a ‘Paris 2024’ point of sale was inaugurated on 8 July within the Carrousel du Louvre. Other locations are also planned and not just in Ile-de-France.
This new point of sale, backed by the famous Louvre museum (which attracts 11.2 million annual visitors), is an address designed to attract foreign tourists, before the competition, then during the event. A 120sq m sales area with a creative showcase markets Olympic Games related products.
“The exceptional location of this new store will allow us to meet an international audience. Two other official stores will open in November 2023, in the Westfield centres in Lyon Part-Dieu and 4 Temps at La Défense”, announces Edouard Bardon, Licensing & Retail Director of Paris 2024.
