If you’re not familiar with Antonia, the original spot in Mamsha Al Saadiyat (which was highly commended for Best Italian at our 2023 Restaurant Awards) is famed for its sourdough slices.
At the new branch in Al Raha Beach, you can expect a pared-back menu of Italian dishes, with a number of new items as well as Antonia’s meatballs and signature specials. The new space will be smaller than the OG branch, but you can expect to see splashes of that iconic mint green, as well as plenty of photos of Nonna, of course.
Chef Simone Federici said, “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter of our journey. Antonia holds a special place in our hearts, and we are excited to bring our passion for Italian cuisine to this vibrant community of Al Zeina and make Nonna even prouder. We can’t wait to share our next steps with you!”
A third branch is on the way soon, too, this time in The Galleria Al Maryah Island. A more upmarket venue, you won’t be able to dig in here until the end of the year.
