The Arenal perfumery chain is working on the opening of a large-format store in the centre of San Sebastián and it will be installed in a three-storey, 840sq m store located at number 14 Calle Loyola.
Arenal will share a commercial axis with firms in its segment such as Kiko Milano, Mac or Jo Malone, whose arrival in the city was recently announced. The premises in which it will be installed is owned by a family from San Sebastian, which has been advised for this operation by Cushman & Wakefield.
“The arrival of Arenal Perfumerías continues to consolidate a stretch of street in San Sebastián that is becoming a benchmark commercial hub in Spain,” says Filipe Do Amaral, the consultancy’s retail associate in Spain.
The Portuguese group MC Sonae is, since 2019, the main shareholder of the perfumery chain through a majority stake in its shareholders. The chain, with some 70 stores in Spain, was born in 1975 by the Vázquez family, which currently owns 40 per cent of the capital.
