Costco is set to open 15 new warehouses in the UK over the next two years.
The retailer is looking at several locations, with plans to open “as soon as possible”. potential locations include Brighton, Cambridge, Chelmsford, south Glasgow, southeast London and Oxford.
Costco is working with property development firm Chase Commercial to find the new locations.
The retailer will also open a new warehouse in Gloucester following an acquisition of a large site in Eastern Avenue.
The proposed 15 new stores will take Costco’s UK store portfolio to 44.
The rapid expansion plans come as the retailer’s UK division saw pre-tax profits jump 44% to £120.6m in the year to August 2022.
