Brookfield Properties Offers Manhattan West Update

If you’ve walked around Manhattan’s west side recently, you may have noticed the area has undergone a dramatic revitalisation.

From the opening of Hudson Yards in recent years to the adaptive reuse of the city’s former main post office building, the James A. Farley Building, into Moynihan Train Hall. Linking these two reimagined areas is Manhattan West, the eight-acre mixed-use neighbourhood between 9th and 10th Avenues and 31st and 33rd Streets. Perhaps the west side’s most drastic transformation, the once underdeveloped district above active railroad tracks is today a vibrant complex merging the best in modern office space, culinary experiences, hospitality, entertainment, luxury residences and immersive retail.

Manhattan West’s 240,000sq ft of retail space is now 98 per cent leased, with consistent lines down the block for classes at Peloton and several next-gen wellness/lifestyle brands like Peachy, Therabody, Silver Mirror and a concierge care concept from Montefiore offering everything needed for the perfect self-care routine. Danny Meyer’s Ci Siamo and Quality Branded’s Zou Zou’s are fully booked every night of the week, and over a dozen other restaurants, bars and cafes are packed.
