They may only be adding to their Boohoo Group stake a little at a time, but it’s building up to a sizeable holding.
Earlier this week, its stake went up to 9.1 per cent and then on Friday, it emerged that it now owns 10.42 per cent of the online fashion retail giant. This time last week it had owned just 7.8 per cent of the firm and in July it reported a 6.8 per cent stake, up from 5 per cent previously.
The company is known for buying sizable stakes in businesses that it sees as having potential. Given that the Boohoo share price is currently slumbering at less than 40p (albeit up over 8 per cent on Friday), possibly as a direct result of the news about the Frasers purchase), the company clearly sees it as a bargain.
