British luxury designer Stella McCartney will bring her latest collection and runway show to Shanghai, closing out the final day of Shanghai Fashion Week (SHFW).
The London-based designer will show in the Chinese city on 16 October, capping off a week of both local and international design acts set to showcase at the SHFW.
Starting 8 October, the nine-day fashion week will stage nearly 100 brand shows, while over 1,000 brands in total are participating in events across Shanghai as part of the event. International buyers and media are also expected to attend SHFW, following China’s border reopening in January.
Under the theme ‘Synergy’, SHFW Spring/Summer 2024 will open with Chinese fashion brand Icicle, alongside Donottag, a brand managed by Tony Han, and brands Haizhen Wang, and Comme Moi. Trend icon Edison Chen’s brand Clot will be launching for the first time at SHFW, with the return of veteran designer labels Private Policy, Staffonly, Judyhua, Tuyue, Hemu, Shie Lyu, Rico Lee, Xuzhi, Shushu/Tong, WMWM, Nan Knits, Oude Waag, and Yirantian.
