The newly inaugurated retail complex InCity Chongqing is set to become a bustling shopping destination with a remarkable line-up of some 200 brands.
Notable anchor tenants at opening included brands such as Galeries Lafayette, Tsutaya Books, BLT Supermarket, and Neobio Family Center.
Set to become a prominent landmark, the International Land Sea Center, also referred to as Chongqing 100 Mall, encompasses two striking towers along with interconnected commercial podiums, developed by Shui On Land and executed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF).
The architectural masterpiece combines retail and office spaces and is anticipated to reach full operational capacity by 2025. InCity Chongqing’s retail tenants include 48 brands new to southwestern China, according to the Chongqing International Communication Centre for Culture and Tourism.
The 100,000sq m retail podium embodies the concept of high-quality living and leisure at the heart of the city. Four storeys in height, it is designed as a vibrant hub for various retail experiences. Standing tall beside it is the main tower, reaching a height of 458m, making it the tallest in the city. The design of the structure draws inspiration from the sailboats that navigate the nearby Jialing River.
