Serviced apartment operator Urban Rest has moved into the boutique hotel sector with the opening of The Sarah in Sydney.
Urban Rest has introduced a new property category to its portfolio – Urban Rest Hotel – with the opening of The Sarah in Darlinghurst, Sydney. All rooms come with a double bed and ensuite bathroom along with a kettle, tea and coffee. Communal spaces include a rooftop and a coffee and wine bar in the lobby which will serve an all-day menu.
David Whelan, Founder and CEO of Urban Rest, said: “Our expansion into the hotel category offers a new transient option for our existing longer stay bookers, whilst also attracting a whole new audience. We’re seizing this opportunity to broaden and provide a comprehensive range of accommodation, from short-term to extended stays, demonstrating our commitment to redefining accommodation and expanding our market presence.”
Jeff Baars, Chief Commercial Officer at Urban Rest, added: “Where supply is scarce, Urban Rest is strategically positioned to explore a multitude of supply alternatives. We do not limit ourselves to a particular category or accommodation type, our adaptable model allows us to flex and accommodate smaller residences and boutique hotels, as well as bigger apartment blocks.”
