Louis Vuitton Opens China Shop

Not a typical Louis Vuitton store, the brand has opened its first chocolate store in China, opting for the city of Shanghai to make its debut.

Located in the city’s Taikoo Li Qiantan shopping mall, the Shanghai location of Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric was formerly home to Louis Vuitton pop-ups that sit adjacent the mall’s Louis Vuitton flagship, the brand’s newest store in the city.

Inside, the store is designed like a tropical garden, with a floor-to-ceiling wooden trunk display section and The Vivienne mascot and its pet lion, The Petula, shown in various scenes throughout the store.

However, the piece de resistance is the Vivienne on Malle, which showcases the craftsmanship chocolate gear mechanisms, down to the millimetre.

The LVMH-owned brands chocolate offerings come stamped with signature Louis Vuitton motifs. All products are directly flown in from Paris, made using high-quality ingredients and an attention to handcrafted workmanship, according to the company.
