Swiss confectionery and bakery brand Confiserie Bachmann is set to enter the Indian market through a franchise partnership with CK Israni Group.
Founded in 1897, Confiserie Bachmann sells patisserie, confectionery, chocolate and bakery products. After nearly 130 years, the business remains family-owned and is currently led by its fourth generation.
“Together with the CK Israni Group, we look forward to making our exceptional Swiss delicacies available to consumers in India and successfully establishing the Bachmann brand in the Indian market,” said Matthias and Raphael Bachmann, Owners of Confiseur Bachmann.
The addition of the bakery brand will expand CK Israni’s international food and hospitality portfolio, which includes Ladurée, Moishi and Crazy Pizza.
“Bachmann is the kind of legacy brand we believe has a natural relevance in India today,” said Chandni Nath Israni, Co-Founder and MD of CK Israni Group. “Indian consumers are increasingly looking for brands with genuine provenance and a story that extends beyond the product and we believe Bachmann has all the ingredients to build a meaningful presence here.”
