Delhaize Belgium has teamed up with Deliveroo and Takeaway.com to offer customers home delivery services for healthy meals from its Delhaize Fresh Atelier outlets. The service will be tested for three months in four Delhaize Fresh Atelier stores in Brussels and Antwerp.
Chief executive of Deliveroo Belgium, Pierre Verdier, said, “The partnership between Deliveroo and Delhaize Fresh Atelier perfectly combines the DNA of both companies, namely by focusing on customers looking for healthy, fresh and quality products. “Thanks to this collaboration, our customers can enjoy a varied choice for a small or large hunger at any time of the day.”
The retailer will offer freshly prepared food items that are healthy and nutritious. It includes customised or ready-made salads, as well as wraps, sandwiches, soups, hot dishes, desserts, fruit salads, and drinks.
Excluding desserts, the service only offers select products with a Nutri-Score A, B or C from the Delhaize Fresh Atelier assortment, the retailer added.
