Pets at Home Group Revenue rises 10.2% to reach £1 billion

Some positive retail news to report here – Pets at Home Group Revenue in the year rose 10.2% to reach an eye watering £1 billion, with underlying pre-tax profit rising to £99.5 million in the fifty two weeks up to March 26th.

However, the pet goods retailer cautioned that the costs from the Covid-19 pandemic will impact its business in the year ahead. However it would appear that for the moment the retailer are in a finically secure position.

“In normal circumstances, it would have given me great pleasure to reflect on another year in which we have grown sales and profits and successfully executed our proven pet care strategy. These are, however, far from normal circumstances with the rapid, wide-ranging and devastating effects of Covid-19 having an unprecedented impact on all of our lives.” – Peter Pritchard, Pets at Home Chief Executive
