Dubai International Financial Centre’s Gate Avenue is to reopen from today (01/06/2020). The retail area is set to reopen, making sure to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines that have been put into place.
An email that was sent to stakeholder stated that the reopening is currently in line with the decision by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council, to gradually open up the business world from the Covid-19-enforced lockdown in the emirate.
Similiar to many other districts of Dubai – retail outlets, which are allowed to open from 10am unitl 8pm, will have an occupancy capacity of seventy percent, while fitness centres and gyms can operate at fifty percent capacity. Spa, showers, saunas, massages, events or gatherings are currently not allowed.
