Retailers Marks and Spencer and Lidl will both open new stores at Two Rivers in Staines-upon-Thames.
The prime shopping, convenience and leisure destination in Staines-upon-Thames, Two Rivers was already home to leading UK retailers Next, TK Maxx, Wagamama, Metrobank, Boots, Pret a Manger and Vue Cinemas.
Now adding to this exclusive list will be Marks and Spencer who are relocating to a flagship 20,000sq ft store which will include a food hall over 50 per cent than the old store in the town. Meanwhile Lidl has chosen the location in the town as it satisfies a long held requirement. Lidl opened their 15,000sq ft store at the end of last month.
Simon Moscow from Aberdeen Standard Investments commented: “Through proactive asset management, The Two Rivers Limited Partnership is delighted to bring Marks and Spencer and Lidl to Two Rivers. Both retailers will add to the well-rounded shopping, convenience and leisure offering, reinforcing Two Rivers as the premier destination in Staines-upon-Thames.”
Henry Neel, Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, said: “We remain committed to feeding the nation at this time, and continue to see incredible demand for Lidl stores across the country to provide essentials. We look forward to offering our quality products and incredible value to shoppers in and around the local area. It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we are proud to be able to serve the local community at this time.”
