Albert Heijn to add five stores in 2022

Five Jumbo Heerschap stores will be converted to the Albert Heijn format in January 2022 after Heershacp Groep’s contract with Jumbo expires at the end of 2021.

Also with the collaboration, the retailer will add Bakkerij Heershap’s artisanal products to its Streeckgenoten range.

Stan Heerschap, Director and Owner of Heerschap Groep commented: “This collaboration marks a new phase in the history of our more than 50-year-old family business. The bakery is the origin of this and is still the core and pride of Heerschap Groep. This fits in well with Albert Heijn’s attention to traditional craftsmanship and local products.”

CEO of Albert Heijn, Marit van Egmond, said, “I am proud of the arrival of Stan Heerschap and his team at Albert Heijn. He is a passionate, experienced entrepreneur with beautiful shops and a unique family bakery where you can literally taste the love for the trade for more than 50 years. Albert Heijn wants to be there for customers always and everywhere. With Heerschap Groep we are also a shop around the corner in the region of Central Limburg.”
