Dubai is seeing ‘green shoots’ of revival in its tourism and hospitality industry following the emirate opening its doors to international visitors.
After more than three months of the UAE’s airspace being closed, the emirate has allowed for the return of international visitors and major players in the industry are seeing a surge of interest from international tourists with the emirate currently among the top five destinations for internet searches or tourist considerations.
Tourism is a major source of revenue for the emirates, contributing 11.5% to its’ gross domestic product and with numbers in the initial reopening phase showing signs of promise, Dubai aims to maximise opportunities once the tourism sector fully reopens.
