In an attempt to make a move on the British food market, Amazon has added supermarket chain Morrisons to its main website and will offer customers access to free same-day deliveries.
The new digital store will offer customers access to an abundance of grocery products including meat, seafood, dairy and baked goods, fruit and vegetables. Any Amazon Prime members will also have access to free same-day delivery on their orders that are over £40. Orders made will be picked by staff from your local Morrisons store and delivered by Amazon Flex delivery partners.
In a time where online shopping delivery is at its peak due to the ongoing global pandemic, the partnership is an exceptionally beneficial one for both parties. David Potts, CEO Morrisons has commented on the partnership: ‘It will give more and more customers the option of receiving Morrisons groceries straight to their doorstep, including freshly prepared products from our brilliant Market Street colleagues.’
