The 38% profit rise can be seen as a reflection of Australians spending more time working and completing DIY projects at home.
The lighting group has enjoyed sales amounting to $252.5m which is up 38.5%. These numbers are largely thanks to the brands ability to keep their stores open throughout lockdown which caused them to see a spike in sales during the heights of the pandemic in April, May and June. Although a large part of the brand’s successful profits is due to customer engagement during this time, the brand’s savvy decisions to delay several investments and in store refurbishments can also be seen as a contributing factor to their success.
CEO Glen Robinson has commented: ‘It was fantastic to see the strength of our team and support from our customers during those challenging times’.
