Grocery market chain MerryMart intends to launch its inaugural drive-thru location in Iloilo City, Philippines.
MerryMart is a full size supermarket that offers a wide variety of food and non-food products and includes a broad selection of personal care products as well as a pharmaceutical section. The plan to open this location is in response to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. If this location proves to be a success, the firm is planning to roll the concept out into multiple locations.
“The MerryMart team continues to decipher and recalibrate its expansion plans as we move forward toward the ‘new normal’ that consumers are adjusting to.” commented the firm’s owner Edgar Sia.
The drive-thru store in planned to open in the first quarter of 2021.
