Taiwanese leisure lifestyle retailer, Eslite Spectrum Corporation is planning three more stores closures before the end of the year.
The locations set to be closed include the Zhongli SOGO store, Taipei MRT Station M district store and Donghu store. Eslite Spectrum is having to restructure its business operations following the effects of the outbreak of Covid-19. Chairmwan Wu Minjie remains optimistic about the store closures commenting: “This is a physical adjustment. Don’t be afraid to close stores – it is more important to open the ‘right’ stores.”
In line with this, the brand is planning to invest resources into their stores with more potential these include the Xinyi store, Songyan store and Hsinchu Big City Store. These stores have shown a positive trajectory in their revenue and the brand hopes that these locations coupled with the launch of their newly developed e-commerce platform will increase customer engagement.
