The brand is said to be released a new, more inexpensive treadmill and a higher-end smart bike.
Peloton has noticed a rise in popularity as many people have turned to at-home fitness solutions with gyms and fitness classes still not being readily available. The company stock has already seen a huge increase of 178 per cent in 2020 and wants to capitalise on this new increased popularity.
Stating that the company wants “everyone in every socioeconomic class to be able to afford Peloton” the brand is rumoured to be dropping the price of its existing exercise bike to under $1900. The newly announced ‘Tread’ treadmill will retail for less than $3000 which is a considerable saving in comparison to the $4295 that their current model sells for.
The new upscale Bike+ model is expected to feature even more technology such as a smart display that can be repositioned to create a more comprehensive view of the guided workouts that the brand offers.
