The newly-opened UFC Gym is located in the Retired Military Personnel Association complex in Mohamed Bin Zayed City.
UFC Gym Middle East has actively targeted Abu Dhabi for their latest venture. Given that Abu Dhabi has hosted three of the biggest UFC events of the past 12 months on Yas’ Fight Island, there’s a clear interest in the combat sport.
Speaking on the launch, Wissam Abi Nader, UFC Gym Director of the Middle East Franchising, commented: “Abu Dhabi has become a central focus for MMA and UFC over the past few months, and will continue to be the central point for UFC events in the future – making it the ideal location for a new UFC Gym.
The ground floor of the gym is the ‘freestyle fitness area’ where gym-goers are able to sign up for the brand’s signature class, DUT (Daily Ultimate Training). The first floor is dedicated to training, sparring and mastering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Boxing and Kick-Boxing. This floor also houses the locations 24-foot Octagon. The top floor is reserved for group exercise and private coaching.
