Ace Hardware Remains on Track to Open Over 170 Stores in 2021

The retailer-owned hardware co-operative has opened 110 new stores so far this year, and is planning to open an additional 60 locations by the end of the year.

Ace already operates over 5,500 locally owned hardware stores in all 50 states and in a further 70 countries, with global sales amounting to as much as $20bn. The company’s co-operative business model offers local entrepreneurs the ability to become owners of their local store operations whilst becoming one of a limited number of shareholders of Ace Hardware Corp.

“Our proposition for consumers is that Ace is the most helpful store on the planet; for prospective new store owners, our proposition is that Ace is the most financially and emotionally rewarding opportunity available,” said John Venhuizen, President and CEO of Ace Hardware Corporation.

Across the world, the brand has opened more than 900 stores in the past five years. The brand and its subsidiaries operate an extensive network of distribution centres in the US and also have distribution capabilities in China, Panama and Dubai.
