Aldi Trials Click and Collect

The supermarket plans to trial the service with Aldi colleagues from a store in the Midlands and should it be successful, this will then be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Colleagues at the Aldi Midlands store will be able to choose from their favourite grocery items online, once they have placed their order they are able to drive to the local store where can have their shopping brought to their cars to accommodate social distancing rules.

Once the service has been trialled and proven successful, it will then be rolled out to customers at further stores across the country. Like other supermarket click and collect services, customers will be offered a timeslot to arrive at their chosen Aldi store where their order will be delivered to their car or they can pick up their shopping.

Giles Hurley, chief executive of Aldi UK and Ireland, said: “We know that more and more people want to access the high-quality, affordable food they know they can get at Aldi. This is yet another way we are innovating to make sure we best serve our existing customers and make Aldi’s great products and unbeatable prices available to even more people.”
