The sustainably-focussed fashion brand is expanding further in London, with the opening of a store on Chelsea’s Kings Road and a concession in Selfridges.
The footwear brand already has stores in London, with locations in Covent Garden and Marylebone, and the move to open more stores displays the brand’s growth within the market. The brand’s Kings Road branch opens today, and it made its debut in Selfridges earlier this week.
Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive, Joey Zwillinger revealed earlier this month that London is a fast-growing sales market for the brand. He said: “In the UK, we continue to gain traction with growing brands awareness, particularly within the 25 to 24 age group. During Q2, we acquired more new e-commerce customers in London than in any other market outside of New York City.”
The King’s Road store is the brand’s third London store, and only it’s fifth in Europe. The store utilises sustainably sourced materials, and displays a wide range of men’s and women’s products. Meanwhile, display plinths, which are new features, will display deconstructed silhouettes to illustrate a start-to-finish process of how materials are used to craft Allbirds footwear.
