A new Amazon Fresh store will open at Manetto Hill Plaza, in Plainview, New York, just 33 miles from New York City.
The first Amazon Fresh opened in August 2020 in Woodland Hills, California. Following its exceptionally successful operation, Amazon has opened a further 12 Fresh stores with eight located in California and four in the Chicago suburbs. The company intends to open at least 28 further stores across the US in the future.
The Plainview location would be Amazon’s sector Fresh store in the Northeast. Last November, Amazon confirmed that it would be opening an Amazon Fresh location in a shuttered Fairway Market in New Jersey’s Woodland Park.
The Amazon Fresh concept was built from the ground up to offer a seamless shopping experience for customers. Amazon Prime members receive extra perks and although traditional checkouts are available in store, the Amazon Dash Cart concept is available for those shoppers who would prefer to skip the queue.
