The theatre chain will reopen 100 of its locations and for one day only, tickets at the theatre will sell for just 15 cents.

In an attempt to bring customers back to its theatres, AMC have hit on a clever marketing campaign that pays a tribute to its past – visitors will pay just 15cents a ticket for their movies, which is roughly the equivalent of what it cost to watch a movie when the chain opened 100 years ago in 1920.

In keeping with this, the chain will show a number of older movies in its locations such as Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and Grease with other legacy titles also available including Black Panther and The Empire Strikes Back.

Both employees and guests will be required to wear masks in the reopened locations.
