Merlin has opened the long-anticipated SEA LIFE Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center at American Dream in New Jersey.
The American Dream mega-mall in the Meadowlands, New Jersey is now home to the SEA LIFE Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center. The SEA LIFE Aquarium was originally due to open in April 2020. However, it was delayed by Covid-19. Merlin announced in March that the attractions would open on 4 May before delaying the launch dates again.
“We have been waiting for a long time to welcome you into our space,” said Nicole Mozeliak, Chief Operating Officer of American Dream (via NJ Advance Media). The opening of the new attractions “really elevates our experiences here at American Dream”.
The new SEA LIFE New Jersey is home to more than 3,000 sea creatures, including piranhas, seahorses, jellyfish and tropical fish. The aquarium’s 10 exhibits are inspired by iconic landmarks in New York City and New Jersey.
Meanwhile the Legoland Discovery Center includes experiences for the entire family, with interactive and educational experiences including build and play zones. It is also home to a 4D cinema and Miniland – a Lego recreation of New Jersey and New York City landmarks.
