The new deal includes 46 Pizza Hut restaurants, which generated annual revenue of approximately $11M last year.
Americana Restaurants International has completed the acquisition of the Pizza Hut brand in Oman from the Khimji Ramdas Group, expanding its regional presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This strategic move aligns with Americana Restaurants’ expansion strategy and market consolidation efforts.
The company has been operating in Oman since 1986 with brands such as KFC and Hardee’s, establishing strong local community connections. The transaction follows a franchise agreement signed with Yum! Brands in July 2022 to develop Pizza Hut restaurants across Saudi Arabia. With this latest acquisition, Americana Restaurants has increased its Pizza Hut restaurant network to around 450 across multiple markets.
The company aims to leverage its operational expertise and digital capabilities, including online ordering and personalised marketing, to enhance customer experience and drive growth.
“By integrating Pizza Hut’s strong local presence with Americana’s operational expertise and focus on innovation, the company is well-positioned to drive growth and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The move also enhances Americana’s ability to optimise operations and capitalise on advanced digital capabilities, such as online ordering and personalised marketing, to meet evolving customer preferences and improve convenience. Americana Restaurants remains committed to ensuring a seamless transition, leveraging its proven expertise to deliver long-term value to customers, communities and stakeholders,” the company said in a statement on Friday.
