Anglo American Hotel Open in Florence

Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton has officially opened its doors to guests, celebrating Italian art and culture, with over 130 years of history preserved within the hotel alongside its modern and elegant design.

Celebrating the rich history of the hotel, guest rooms have been designed with a distinctive palette of rich, vibrant colours to create an eclectic, unconventional atmosphere, with artwork from the 1920s – intriguing details and furnishings can be found throughout the hotel.

Complimented by an array of authentic dining options, the Whisper Wine Bar and Courtyard is set to be a guest favourite. Dating back to the 1930s, it’s the cultural salon where the British ladies’ community “Scorpions” used to meet and gossip on Florentine life with biting criticism. This community of British women expatriates served as the muse for the film Tea with Mussolini.

The hotel is positioned in the heart of the Tuscany capital, offering easy access to nearby museums and galleries that boast works from some of the greatest artistic minds of all time, such as Da Vinci and Botticelli.
