The upscale French fashion brand is opening its first store in Canada in Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville area.
Occupying an area of 1,000sq ft, the new store will feature Anne Fontaine’s collections of women’s apparel as well as bags, footwear and accessories including its iconic white shirts, which include some very artful, skilful and complicated designs. Prices range from $300 to $1000 for the brand’s white shirts whilst evening wear options include a dress priced at $1995 ad a crystal-encrusted handbag, priced at $2,950.
The ‘luxury run’ of Bloor Street West in Toronto will gladly welcome the Anne Fontaine flagship. Other luxury brands located close by include Gucci, St. John Knits, Burberry, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Cartier, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, MCM and others.
It has not yet been announced if the brand plans to open further store in Canada, however the opening in Toronto signifies an underlying confidence in physical retailing in the country, despite the shifting consumer preferences amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
