Apple to Open in Malaysia

The company is in the midst of extending its portfolio of owned stores in Asia as it prepares to launch its first company-owned flagship in Malaysia.

Bloomberg has reported that the business has begun hiring staff for its Malaysian retail business and these jobs will be for Apple’s own retail outlets rather than Malaysia’s long-operating third-party reseller locations. The very first Apple store is set to open in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

In addition, it has also put out job openings as it prepares to unveil two retail outlets in India in March or April. Set to be located in Mumbai and New Delhi, this would be the culmination of an idea that Apple has had in the pipeline since 2015. The first Indian store will take up 22,000sq ft in the Jio World Drive shopping mall at BKC in Mumbai.
