Occupying an area of 8000sq ft over two storeys this new store located in Middle Huahai Road in Shanghai is the brands first global flagships store.
The new Arc’teryx Alpha Center offers a range of technical high-performance apparel, outerwear and equipment. Four different experiential huts offer an immersive shopping experience for customers, these include the Hardshell Hut which is located at the front of the store and presents displays of the Canadian mountains along with sounds of nature. The Gore-Tex Hut features a rain room where customers can try on water-resistant products.
The Hardgoods Hut houses the brands hardgoods and the second floor feature the Brand Hut, which houses a virtual reality module that changes seasonally, a community lounge, and an events board.
“Arc’teryx Alpha Center is our brand’s first global flagship store, and in designing this store, we wanted to create a shopping experience that is unique not only to our brand, but also to our customers as well. As a brand, we want to encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors, and with this in mind, we’ve decided to bring the outdoors in by incorporating the concept of hut-to-hut touring into our store design.” commented Megan Cheesbrough, VP of Retail, Arc’teryx.
