AREA15, the world’s first purpose-built immersive entertainment company with one permanent location in Las Vegas and a second set to open in Orlando, Florida, announces its first-ever regional pop-up location.
The 50,000sq ft structure is situated within Boulevard World in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of Riyadh Season, the expansive annual art, culture, retail and amusement festival currently running through March 2023. The SELA Corporation, AREA15’s first international licensee, built the pop-up, which features core-brand experiences and attractions that millions of visitors have enjoyed at AREA15’s Las Vegas location.
The AREA15 pop-up experience at Riyadh Season includes; Wink World, Dueling Axes, Museum Fiasco, Birdly Virtual Reality and Particle Quest AR. Other attractions include the Oddwood Bar, Wild Muse Boutique and the 360-degree projection-mapped Portal event venue that hosts a variety of concerts and immersive programming. Many recognizable large-scale artworks appear at the pop-up, including Bart Kresa Studio’s “Sviatovid,” Tyler Fuqua’s “Mechan X,” Davis McCarty’s “Pulse Portal,” Alchemy Arts’ “Omah” and many others.
“With AREA15, we established a new paradigm demonstrating how irresistible an art-filled destination built entirely to inspire, amaze and entertain could be,” said Winston Fisher, Chief Executive Officer, AREA15. “Licensing allows us to introduce these singularly creative spaces to new legions of the curious and culturally adventurous—and do so in locations where nothing remotely comparable has ever been seen. It’s an extraordinary opportunity for us to shine the AREA15 light on different parts of the world.”
