Asics Launches First Colombia Flagship

The Japanese brand of footwear and sportswear, Asics, opened its first store in Colombia at the Unicentro mall, in Bogotá.

“With the opening of the store in Colombia, we seek to meet the needs of runners, offering footwear and clothing suitable for different sports practices. This store’s portfolio will demonstrate the power of the brand in terms of technology and innovation in the local market and, with this more robust presence in the Colombian market, we intend to get closer to sportsmen through our philosophy ‘Healthy mind in body’,” informed Alexandre Fiorati, President of Asics for Latin America.

Even being the brand’s first store in the country, Asics is not new in Colombia. The company celebrates more than a decade of presence in the market through department stores and specialty stores.

Currently, the Japanese brand has 17 stores in Latin America and is present in virtually all countries. In Colombia, the company expects double-digit growth in its first year of operation and expansion in the short, medium and long term.
