The company will open a pop-up store in Atmos Sendagaya to commemorate “AIR MAX DAY”, the birthday of “AIR MAX 1” on 26 March.
“AIR MAX 1” was born as a running shoe on 26 March 1987 by sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield. Atmos has celebrated the birth of the shoes through various projects. This year, a special site titled “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AIR MAX 1” was opened. In addition to looking back on the history of shoes, we have released a page focusing on five models released before and after “AIR MAX DAY”.
The pop-up store has a space inspired by the room of sneakerheads in the 1980s when the shoes were born and will sell AIR MAX, display models released in the past, distribute novelties and introduce apparel customisation.
