The Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet has opened its first AP House in Mainland China at Qiantan Taikoo Li in Shanghai.
The new AP House, which boasts a 175sq m space spread between two floors, has been designed as a home away from home. Visitors are able to discover some of the Manufacture’s latest timepieces in the boutique, which is located on the ground floor, or they can relax in the brand’s private apartment on the first floor.
The store itself interweaves Chinese and Western designs in a seamless marriage of lines and curves that are reminiscent of Shanghai’s ‘Shikumen’ style.
Peggy Hu, Audemars Piguet Chief Executive Officer Greater China, said: “We are very excited to open our first AP House in Shanghai, a home away from home which blends Audemars Piguet’s cultural universe with Shanghai’s distinctive culture and design. Representing our 7th location in Mainland China, this AP House will enable us to be in closer proximity to our clients while offering them bespoke experiences attuned to their passions.”
