Beauty and cosmetics company Avon, owned by Brazilian group Natura & Co., is driving its digital transformation in Mexico with the launch of its e-commerce platform.
To integrate Avon’s new online store, company representatives must register and create their own virtual store with an exclusive link, through which orders will be registered. Sellers will continue to receive a 30 per cent commission per order and Avon will be in charge of managing the shipments, while customers will cover the total cost.
In the words of Magdalena Ferreira Lamas, Avon’s General Manager for northern Latin America, it is a quantum leap to allow the company’s representatives to be part of the digital store and connect with consumers.
Avon’s e-commerce platform offers seven categories: skincare, makeup, facial care, personal care, perfumes and fragrances, children, and another that includes various products, such as beauty accessories. If the consumer prefers to make the purchase through a specific representative, he can search for him on the website by name or postal code.
Avon was founded in 1886 in New York City and is currently owned by Brazilian Natura & Co. After the transaction concluded in 2020, Natura and Avon added more than 6.3 million representatives and consultants, surpassing 3,200 stores across the country, becoming the fourth-largest beauty company in the world.
