The Dubai-based developer is currently looking for a location to create its next ‘billion plus’ project in the city.
Currently, there are only two locations up for consideration, according to a top official. The newly-planned mixed-use project has to be iconic, not just for Dubai, but for the whole UAE, said Farhad Azizi, Chief Executive Officer of Azizi Developments.
He continues: “It has to be mixed-use because a billion plus development needs to be buzzing with life 24 hours, like the Burj Khalifa. Building it for residential along will not work for such an investment. So, you have commercial and retail taking care of traffic in the mornings and the residential part getting active in the evenings.”
The new project, for which there still remain scarce details, is not the only project that Azizi is becoming involved in. It is taking of new work at four locations: Dubai Healthcare City, Al Furjan, Meydan and Studio City, for a combined new spend of Dh7 bn.
