The move will see the brand expand into fashion & lifestyle as the industry continues to look for ways to innovate.
Launched in 2019 by Selene Cruz, Re:store is devoted to blurring the lines between shopping, community and creation. Re:store intends to bring the customer experience to life and focuses on empowering brands to tell their stories in a new, personal and impactful way. The company prides themselves on bringing online brands to offline places.
b8ta was founded in 2015 to create spaces where shoppers could try the latest products out-of-the-box. The company has seen over 50 million product engagements since inception and has launched more than 1000 brands. This new partnership follows the launch of Form by b8ta, the first sign that the company was interested in entering the world of fashion and lifestyle.
“The future of retail is discovery,” commented Vibhu Norby, co-founder and CEO of b8ta. “I am a huge fan of what Selene built at Re:store, and we’re incredibly excited to add their Maiden Lane location to our portfolio.”
Selene Cruz added: “The b8ta team has been an inspiration since the beginning. This acquisition is a big win in our mission to create a true fashion-meets-tech platform. We’re excited to finally be able to tap into our waitlist of brands and give them access to omni retail beyond Maiden Lane.”
