Featuring a new prototype, the much loved burger restaurant chain will return to the Charlotte market after its initial closure in 2012.
Around three years ago, Back Yard Burgers was acquired by Axum Capital Partners – a Charlotte based private equity firm and now the Co-Founder, Muhsin Muhammad intends to bring the brand back with a new prototype that he hopes will allow them to double their brands current portfolio of 46 restaurant locations.
The new prototype has an open kitchen at its heart, allowing guests to enjoy the sights and smells of their food being prepared in front of them. Despite a change in setting, guests will still be able to enjoy the burgers they know and love, using the same high-quality ingredients to mimic a burger made in your own back yard.
He comments: “We’re excited about bringing something back to the fans they truly enjoyed. This is a new and improved version of it. We felt like with a new prototype, new energy and a few different upgrades to components of the business, it has the opportunity to re-emerge and grow.”
