The municipality of Amsterdam has chosen Ballast Nedam Development’s plan to redevelop Amstelstation-Amsteloever plots 3 and 4, also known as the Van der Kunbuurt.
In the winning plan, there will be c. 335 homes, a roof garden, a community room, a public parking garage and space for catering and retail.
The design fits in well with the existing high-rise buildings and Amsterdam’s architectural tradition. The development will take the place of some of the current homes that will be demolished by the end of 2024. The new complex consists of approximately 335 homes in a mix of medium-priced rental homes and private-sector owner-occupied homes.

Together with Stadgenoot, a district is being developed here where extra space is created for every segment of the housing market. We are proud of the design we are presenting today.
